Custom Pet Portrait Kinusaiga Pattern (Digital)

Send us a photo of your pet and we'll draw them as a kinusaiga pattern.

This is the design on its own. Nothing ships. You get a rendered image of what the finished piece would look like, plus the outlines as a PDF you can print at 8" × 8" or scale to whatever board you already have.

Kinusaiga is a Japanese fabric art that looks like quilting with none of the sewing in it. You score a groove around the edge of a shape, cut fabric a little larger than the shape, and tuck the edges down into the groove. The picture fills in one shape at a time.

The one in the photos is Maggie, a Bernese, drawn from the sunny picture underneath it.

How it works
You order first, then we email you to sort out the photo. Any clear picture of your pet's face works, and a real photo file beats a screenshot every time. We draw the portrait, send back the rendered version so you can see what you're getting, and you get two rounds of changes if something isn't right. The PDF follows once you've said yes to it.

This is not an instant download
There's a person at this end drawing your pet, so expect an email from us rather than a link at checkout. Give it a few days, and a little longer if you take your time on the revisions.

Who buys this one
Somebody who already has foam board, fabric and a blade and would rather use their own materials. It also works if you just want the drawing and have no plans to make anything out of it.

If you want the kit instead
The full kit ships your approved design already printed on the transfer adhesive paper and mounted on an 8" × 8" board, with the fabric, a seam ripper, and a black or natural wood shadowbox if you want one. The PDF is included with every kit, so there's no reason to buy both.
