Homeschool Art Program: Grades K to 6 (Fall 2026)
Real projects with real materials, all supplies included, 14 weeks of classes.
Fourteen Tuesday mornings of real art projects for kids in grades K through 6, taught by Niki, who has been teaching art to kids and running camps for years.
Every class ends with something finished that goes home that day. Nothing gets left on a shelf to be worked on later.
Suggested Class Schedule
Tuesdays, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, starting September 15 and running through December 15. Note: we are able to work with your group to accommodate your schedule.
What We'll Make
- A found object sculpture on the first day, made out of a pile of odd little junk we've been collecting.
- Air dry clay jellyfish to say goodbye to summer.
- Fairy and gnome doors with real moss on them.
- A kinusaiga pumpkin, which is Japanese patchwork where you press fabric into grooves instead of sewing it.
- Shrinky Dink charms for their backpacks.
- A painted rock tic tac toe board.
- Torn paper art
- A painted ghost dish finished with resin
- Bubble letter names
- Zentangles
- A snow globe with their own face inside it
- The last class is a group drawing where everybody builds one elf together.
Niki may adjust how many weeks a couple of these get once she sees the group.
Everything is included
All of it. Paint, brushes, clay, glue guns, frames, resin, the weird trinkets. Send a kid in clothes that are allowed to get ruined.
Registration stays open the whole semester
Once we're underway we drop the price on this page every week to match the classes that are left, so if you find us in October you pay for October forward and not for the weeks you missed. Whatever the price says today is what the rest of the run costs.
Worth knowing before you pick a week: the cardboard house takes three Tuesdays and the paper mache animals take two, so a late start can drop you into the middle of a build. Email us and we'll point you at a week that starts something new instead.
If you need to cancel
Email us at least 14 days before the first class and we'll refund the program fee. After that, write us anyway and we'll work out what's fair. We'd rather hear from you than have you disappear.
Not sure which program to pick?
If you have a young seventh grader or a very capable fifth grader and the grade split doesn't feel right, tell us and we'll talk it through. Same if you have two kids in different groups and the two time slots are hard on your day. This is our first fall doing it, so we'd rather hear from you than have you guess.
